A no limit approach to learning
A heartfelt thank you to the family of the late Martin
Lonergan, Goatenbridge for the very kind and generous
donation made to Scoil Chormaic.
This donation has been used to purchase a beautiful
bench for our new sensory area in the school, so that
Martin will forever be remembered here in Scoil
Chormaic.
The cheques was presented by Martin's niece, Ciara
Meagher who is also a student here in Scoil Chormaic
pictured below with the family, Lorraine Lowry (Principal)
and Cllr Richie Molloy, manager of the Carers Association
who came along to support Ciara in this kind gesture.
The family and everyone here in Scoil Chormaic would
like to sincerely thank all those who donated.

2023 Home-Based
Summer Programme
Hi everyone, my name is Cara Darmody, I am 12 years old. I'm now in 6th
class in Ardfinnan National School. I have 2 younger brothers Neil (10) & John
(5) who are both non-verbal with Autism. They attend Scoil Chormaic Special
School in Cashel. There are over 18,000 children that cannot get services such
as Autism assessments, Speech & Language, OT, Play Therapy and Psychology.
It makes me so mad that nobody is doing anything about it. These kids are
being left to rot due to the lack of services. So I want to do something about it.
I want to raise money to give everyone the same chance. I really need your
help to do that!!!
Last year, I became the very first national school child in Ireland's history to sit
a Junior Cycle exam (Maths), getting my result of 97% live on the Late Late
Show from Ryan Tubridy last November. I am now going to sit the Leaving Cert
Maths exam to again raise funds and to continue raising awareness of these
very important issues. My exam will take place in June 2023 so there's a lot of
studying to be done!!! Wish me luck! Your friend, Cara. xxxx
